Wexford overview

Known for its strawberries and cheddar cheese - though not at the same time – Wexford, in the southeast of Eire, is a picturesque seaside town with bags of history. It presides over a natural harbour and has a tangle of old streets and lanes to tackle, along with fluffy beaches that steal most of the Emerald Isle’s sun. The surf here is pretty good and there is also, believe it or not, some excellent scuba diving. In addition, those who are into crystal might like to check out nearby Waterford where there are also highly rated angling options. Trains and buses come down the coast from Dublin, ferries come over from Wales through Rosslare, and there is an airport in Waterford.
