Tralee overview

County Kerry’s Tralee is a good alternative to staying in the touristier Killarney when discerning the beautiful Irish southwest. It is fairly quaint, yet has the obligatory helping of old pubs, and is also known to enjoy more than a couple of hours of sunshine on a given day. The town has a limited amount of sights for the average tourist, although you can easily get about its nether regions with not too much tramping. There’s wads of fine heritage to discern, while the Kerry Kingdom Museum is good for learning a bit about the region at large. Town Park is good when the sun has got his hat on, or if you prefer to head out and enjoy nature, the Dingle Peninsula is an easy drive to the west. Get in by plane via Shannon or train via Killarney.
