Kilkenny overview

Kilkenny is a fun, laid-back town in the middle of County Kilkenny, southern Ireland. It’s an easy drive from Dublin and Cork and, although touristy, it has lots to shout about. The home of Kilkenny ale helped put the place on the modern tourist map, although the fancy forms of Kilkenny Castle have been drawing folk in for centuries. The town is compact and bijou and sits on the banks of the Nore and, as with any other Irish centre, well worth its salt, Kilkenny excels in the drinking department. There are just a ton of places to let your hair down where Irish charm, along with traditional Irish folk music, is in evidence
