Galway Travel Guide
Wet, windy, colourful, exciting Galway is one of Ireland’s most intriguing centres and a must see for any intrepid visitor. The gateway to the west and ‘City of the Tribes’, on account of its tribal past, is a multicultural town with a fantastic array of pubs, bars, and live music venues and also boasts a yearly arts festival. Galway is also nice to see by day, loaded as it is with medieval architectural beauty in the form of the splendid Galway Cathedral, which dominates a bunch of other ancient structures, including the unimpressive Spanish Arch. The Galway Arts Centre is another big attraction in Galway and plays hosts to a cornucopia of shows throughout the year. Galway is served by rail and has the useful Galway Airport.
